Baraco is my mother ‘s hometown.  One morning, as the sun came up, I went out on the porch and filmed this scene of a sleepy little town getting underway.  I used the Gaussian Blur transitions because my being in Baracoa seemed like a dream and Cuba itself is elusive to me.  I am from there and yet I can only be there as a visitor.  The music is Under The Mango Tree by John Maestes y Humoso, a great group of young jazz men, used with  permission of Najulda Records.
